Kathleen A. Lens, CPA
Principal
Kathy Lens is a Principal in the Accounting and Auditing Department
of Margolis & Company P.C. She has extensive experience in
providing auditing and business advisory services to entrepreneurial
businesses in a variety of industries, including service, manufacturing,
broker-dealer and not-for-profit.
In addition to providing traditional
accounting and auditing services, she assists clients with understanding
and analyzing profitability and costs, effective management reporting,
business planning and other areas.
Prior to joining Margolis & Company
as a principal in 1990, Kathy spent thirteen years with a national
accounting firm. She is a graduate of the Wharton School of the
University of Pennsylvania.
Kathy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). Active in community organizations, she heads the firm’s corporate sponsorship program of the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), is a member of the Forum of Executive Women and a member of the Advisory Board of the Center for Women's Business Research. Kathy is also a former President of the Board of Trustees of Martins Run, a life-care retirement community, and a past Treasurer of the Family Planning Council of Southeastern Pennsylvania.
