Arthur M. Scherr, CPA
Principal
Arthur Scherr is the director of Margolis & Company's Accounting
and Auditing Department. He joined the firm as a manager in 1981
after seven years with an international firm, and became a principal
in 1984. Art has a broad base of expertise, servicing clients
in the not-for-profit, wholesale distribution, manufacturing and
retail industries. He also performs several peer reviews
per year, including several CPA firms in Florida which specialize
in common interest realty associations.
As the firm’s quality control principal for accounting and
auditing, Art provides in-house training programs on newly issued
technical pronouncements, methodologies on auditing procedures
and financial statement disclosure requirements. He is much sought
after for presentations and lectures to groups on such topics as, "Forecasting
and Budgeting" and "Current Developments in Accounting
and Auditing."
